Job Title: Driver/Mover/Packer

Job description


Truck Driver is responsible for operating a non-CDL 26-foot straight / box truck, with a capacity of less than 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), primarily to deliver or pick up customers household goods and freight. Operate various types of Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) or manual material handling equipment to move freight, household goods, or other materials to and from residence, storage or loading docks, delivery vehicles, or containers. Assist Warehouse personnel with pulling and preparing orders for shipment, as well as receiving, verifying, staging and stocking all incoming material


Tasks include:

  • Responsibility for transporting household goods/commercial equipment and furniture from origin to destination.
  • Packing, Load and unload trucks using Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV), pallet jacks, and hand trucks / dollies as needed
  • Complying with drug-free workplace initiatives.
  • Maintaining a tool kit for installation, assembly and breakdown of furniture or other items for transport.
  • Performs other tasks deemed necessary by management. Complete special projects, duties, or assignments appropriately
  • Must have the ability to work flexible or continuous shift hours, overtime and provide on-call support during normal scheduled work hours to meet business need


Responsibilities:

Arrive on time each day


Truck is ready to leave the warehouse facility by 8:00AM each day or as scheduled


Will require physical functions Lifting up to 75 pounds,  climb stairs, bend at the waist, stoop, stand, walk ect. Somewhat strenuous daily activities.

Front Office Support

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 


Priorities:

  • Perform a variety of clerical duties, Faxing, scanning, filing, data entry
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, processing daily paperwork
  • Keep paperwork flow on schedule
  • Update and follow through with delegated tasks to ensure progress to deadlines
  • Distributing previous days daily paperwork
  • Setting Estimate appointment and all tasks related
  • Ensure customers are well-informed on any current Products and Services. 
  • Mailing of documents, postcards ect.
  • Handling over the counter sales of materials 
  • Data Entry, credit card processing 
  • Any other tasks that are deemed necessary to meet business needs


Qualification/Requirements: 

  • Excellent phone etiquette 
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks
  • Excellent verbal communication skills 
  • Punctual 
  • Able to work with minimum supervision 
  • Should be customer service driven 
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) 
  • Professional appearance 


Education/Training/Experience 


  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • Minimum 1 year customer service and Sales


Professional Packer:

Prepares items for shipping and packs household items by wrap securely and place it into the proper sized boxes. This is done on site at the customer’s residence or storage facility. Once the items has been packed, the packer labels it properly. Packers are also responsible for creating an inventory to account for items that will be moved. Packers are an important part of the household good relocation process and help ensure that goods are received at destination in good condition.


Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, pass background check and drug test. Training provided by the company.

General Labor

 General tasks include loading and unloading of furniture, equipment, packing, carrying boxes, and warehouse duties. Must be able to lift 75lbs with above average stamina and fitness skills. Must be 18 years of age; pass a background check, drug test. Training provided by company.
